The Family Center of Westborough,

a service of JFS Worcester,

is now accepting clients.

Rising to meet the urgent need for family and individual counseling, elder and adoption services, and other social services in the Westborough area, the Family Center of Westborough is now open and accepting clients. The Center is housed in space donated by the Boroughs JCC, 45 Oak Street, Westborough, MA 01581.

JFS Guardianship Staff Recruitment

Elder Guardianship/Conservatorship Case Manager

JFS seeks a highly organized, compassionate individual to work as part of a dedicated team to monitor and support incompetent elders residing in nursing homes and the community.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with elders, co-workers, community agencies, caregivers, and medical and legal personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, advocacy skills, ability to manage money.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the dignity and integrity of elders.
  • Prior experience with elders regarding money.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but commensurate experience with elders will be considered.

 

Elder Guardianship/Conservatorship Program Coordinator

Work with JFS Elder Guardianship/Conservatorship Team to oversee compliance with legal and financial matters for more than 100 elders who are no longer competent to make their own decisions.

  • Requires high degree of organization, attention to detail, ability to manage complex financial issues and navigate systems, and prior experience supervising work of other staff members.
  • Basic knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and accounting/bookkeeping software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, community agencies, caregivers, financial institutions and legal personnel.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the dignity and integrity of elders.
  • Knowledge of and experience with legal matters pertaining to guardianship a plus, or working with government systems, such as MassHealth.
  • Bachelors degree preferred but will consider commensurate experience with elders.
